desert INK collaborated with leading architects BENOY in designing the public realm for this lifestyle mall in Cairo. With an F+B and entertainment focus, the public spaces are designed to accommodate events, performances and al fresco dining amongst relatively green surroundings. Landform was employed to maximize the visual effect of the greenspaces, by tilting them towards the viewer. The central plaza is the most exciting space within the project, where 3 large feature trees form the core of the landscape. Extensive local research and study has ensured that all hard and softscape materials are both available and suitable for the project.
