terra - the sustainability pavilion expo 2020

desert INK were sought by lead architects Grimshaw, New York, and exhibition designers Eden Project to bring their unique creativity and local knowledge to this pioneering project set to lead the way for worldwide sustainable development practices. The landscape design showcases native and adapted plants draped over roof decks which consume a fraction of the resources typically required by soft landscape in the region. Hard landscape materials employed in the landscape are either locally sourced, or feature high recycled content, while desert INK’s intelligent irrigation system applies water only when it is needed.
